I love floofy cats, though yes, the struggle w mats is real. Mine isn't a Persian, but she's pretty fluffy, yet she's kinda meh on brushing. So I started having the local groomer give her a lion cut every summer (just leave a fair bit of mane & a puffball tail, shave the rest short) & she LOVES it

I've been trying to get my cat to figure it out too, but she ignores it, even if I leave it the only spot drenched in sunlight. Take the pad away though, & immediately any sunny spot anywhere looks like this
