Been struggling with social media as a whole for a while. I've finally come to the conclusion that spending less (-to no) time on FB is good for my health. Spending time here is inserting myself directly into the outrage machine. Spending time on Threads means I get to at least have a window 1/2

My 13yo has been upset for two straight years at the lack of snow here (more due to the lack of snow ice cream), so after I shoveled the driveway, I went and harvested 8 cups of fresh snow for snow cream. Recipe follows.

had an idea last week: chocolate rye cake. did a search, saw *salted* chocolate rye cake. made it today, and it was good. I had black cocoa handy, so I used that. milled the rye myself. I have some ideas for next time, too.
now I want to add rye to my salted chocolate crinkle cookies, too.
