This may be stupid, but for years I’ve wanted to write a holiday song. The last week or two I’ve been working on one and I think I almost have it finished, which is kinda cool. Not sure anyone will ever hear it, but I’m enjoying it.

Eventually I’ll replace the rugs and shower curtain with something to give it more personality, but it looks so much better than the old person green it was before. Even the ceiling was green. 🤢

My dog turned nine today. While posting a picture to celebrate her birthday, I started crying. She’s healthy and still has plenty of energy, but knowing she’s truly getting up there in age has me knowing our time is limited. It’s absolutely gonna destroy me when I lose her.

Final count: $1,051 raised. I’m going to go pick up a few food donations, then go talk with their director to see if they prefer I shop or if they can stretch the funds further on their own. Huge thank you to everyone who made this possible - y’all are amazing.

If you are making item donations to your local food banks, please don’t forget about the household pets that may also be suffering from food shortages. I know when a family prioritizes the people, the animals in the home may take a back seat, or be surrendered to a shelter. Let’s help them too. 😭💔
