Carney is Liberal Harper. Intelligent, imperious, ruthless. Poilievre is Conservative JT. Ideological, divisive, manifestly unqualified.

The more the people who control the Internet talk, the more I think we should destroy the Internet and all go hang out in curling rinks and bowling allies
Mark Zuckerberg says Meta's chatbots will supplement your real friends: "The average American has fewer than 3 friends ... but has demand for ... 15 friends" (h/t x.com/romanhelmetg...)

I clearly remember the 1984 election. The issue was free trade between Canada and the USA. I was a Turner supporter, against the deal. I was wrong about that, and a do have a grudging respect for Mulroney (bags of cash aside). Free trade with the US has been a net benefit to Canada.

If BYD is serious about building an EV factory in Canada, the government should be actively pursuing it.

Chinese EVs will not stay out of North America forever, and Canada should invite them in to build cars here so we don’t lose that opportunity to the US or Mexico.
China dangles BYD as bait to reboot Canada trade talks - The Logic
Trump's trade war has made Chinese-made EVs look a lot more appealing, but Canada still has reasons to resist.

This should be a bigger story nationally.
www.breitbart.com/politics/202... Smith tells Breitbart that US should pause its tariffs against Canada because it is benefitting the Liberals. Trump should want the CPC to win because "the perspective that Pierre would bring would be very much in sync with, I think…the new direction in America."

Conservative Party of Canada hung "Canada is broken" on PMJT. Wasn't really true, but the narrative became the reality for voters. Liberals are currently painting CPC as anti-Canada Maple MAGA. It might work for them as well

Given that the United States has started a trade war with us, should Canada seek to deepen trade ties with China? What do you think?

Totally unnecessary election coming to Ontario. These snap calls to take advantage of good polls often (usually??) blow up in the governing party's face. Hard to see that from here, but voters are a funny bunch. We'll see what happens

If we could just buy Trump, have the BOC purchase $1B in Trump coin, in exchange for no tariffs, would you do it?

If this is true, then the UCP is funding outright propaganda with taxpayers dollars
The Breakdown is reporting that the UCP have been funding Keean Bexte to the tune of $12,000 a month. And not with party funds—with public funds. Your money.
You read that right.

In 2024, the UCP government was sending a pretty consistent $12,000 a MONTH to the Countersignal.

For a grand total of $116,800 in a year and two months.

Of taxpayers money.

Partey simply can't play right back. If Arteta doesn't have confidence in Tierney or Kiwior then he should move them right now. Ben White can't be back soon enough #coyg

I get that #Everton are unhappy with the negative style of play, but, Dyche got a tune out a side that could easily have been relegated. He didn't deserve the disrespect they've showed him. Now i hope they get the drop
