DAMNIT YOU ARE THE CHURCH

And this has then been used to treat people horribly and without the mercy and compassion of Christ.

The Reformation did start a larger movement of looking at Jesus’ words and applying them to the status quo Church but what has continued is that the Powers that Be continue to identify themselves with the sick and sinners of the Gospels instead of the religious authority

I remember when the "virtual band" feature first came out on Garage Band and you selected the genre of music and the "band" make-up and it outputted a piece of music

really, generative AI is just a elaborate version of that and when using it I would have never said "I made this. I am an artist"

The thing is too is that it's never been easier for someone who doesn't have access to a physical instrument or lessons to learn and make something without generative AI

A family day pass to a mountain park like Jasper or Banff is only $22

I get the desire to make them free to Canadians as a patriotic thing under Trump's threats to Canada but why are the east-asian and European tourists who are already gonna come anyways getting in free

I mean the fees are pretty cheap as it is (you can buy a family/vehicle pass for a year for ~150 that gets you into every national park) and I don't think non-residents pay any more; they already are coming

Visitation to our mountain parks definitely keep going up even with fees

No serious person asks this question

Winter does not a Christmas movie make.

You need to *see* that it is Christmas time, and the whole movie takes place during that season. That's why Die Hard is a Christmas movie, and Harry Potter isn't, and The Thing will never be

On the flip side, I don’t understand why fees in CanadIan national parks we waived for ALL visitors last summer (and this summer coming up again) instead of just citizens and PRs
