Poor governance may be 1.5m of rain!

A good example, I think is the TP of coral reefs. Passed without comment...and yet over 500 million people depend on them directly. The TP of AMOC could be the same.

A tough ask as most do not fully comprehend what any of it really means. 1.5, 2.0, AMOC, TPs.. mean nothing to most people. The message and gravity of it doesn't get through

Not to mention the billions being spent looking for new sites...they aren't stopping at all. Zero

. @climateofgavin.bsky.social talked about how Earth's Energy Imbalance from NASA CERES data increased more than in models on Climate Chat with @danmiller999.bsky.social.

No one should be surprised when a planet that accumulates heat more than twice as fast starts to see temperatures go up more than twice as fast.

This isn't rocket science, but we do need more of these NASA satellites. 🌍🛰

To keep us from going blind.

There is no way to achieve "deep, rapid and sustained reductions in global greenhouse gas emissions" without a rapid transition away from fossil fuel burning. The international scientific assessments are very clear on this point. One could view a focus on other sources as intentional deflection.

It essentially breaks down to rich people who sell FF want to continue selling FF for as long as possible to get even richer. All the while the entire planet's ecosystem on which all life on Earth depends are being changed (tipped) into an equilibrium that is highly likely cause an extinction even

This kind of behaviour reminds me of the oscillations Meadows described at the end of system collapse. Events which try to prop up the system. Obviously the FF systems will collapse but will it be due to rise in renewables or PBs collapse?...hopefully the former!

If that doesn't finally happen we are nailing the coffin down even harder... it is VERY close to being shut (esp re: tipping points)
