Girl, knitting classes are for EVERY level!! I take several each year and they're always enormous fun, you get to hang out with other cool people and it's just a few hours of pure VIBES. 100% recommend!!

The thing is. It WOULD be super cool. Me and my 3 postgrad degrees (incl a phd) are here to tell you that the older you get the more academia SUCKS. when you're young you kind of don't see or can ignore all the bullshit, but at our age it's a boss fight to keep my mouth shut at some douchebag prof.
