The good thing if the committee leaves Bama out because of how it played in an SEC championship game is that will be the death of championship games as we know them, which is prob already overdue in an expanded playoff era.

There is no other way to interpret that outcome.

If playing in a P4 conference championship cannot knock out a team (at least in 3 of the 4) and you want to reward a conference champion... then you HAVE to go to 16 teams and any team ranked inside of the T14 are safe, all P4 conf winners get in, and just seed from there.
