Vandaag is 't exact een jaar geleden dat 'De wereld van Clovis. De val van Rome en de geboorte van het Westen' @ertsberg.bsky.social verscheen. Sindsdien vlogen er meer dan 4000 (!) exemplaren over de toonbank.

Ik heb altijd geweten dat het goed zou doen, maar zo goed? Dat had ik niet durven hopen.

Wat mij betreft mogen musea inderdaad aandacht besteden aan het boek van @drdragases.bsky.social. Bedenk dat in Nederland de Germanen/Franken simpelweg uit het geschiedbeeld zijn verwijderd ten gunste van de limes, die nooit een rol speelde.

Mooie fotocollage van oudstrijders van de Belgische onafhankelijksoorlog. Ooit gelezen dat de laatste oudstrijder van 1830 stierf in het voorjaar van 1914. Wat betekent dat België in zijn geschiedenis maar enkele maanden heeft gekend zonder landgenoot die vocht in een oorlog op ons grondgebied.
