Authoritarian regimes often work by co-opting people into their crimes and thus giving them a vested interest in maintaining the regime lest crimes get punished. Old as the hills. Do none of you study history?

It is absolutely wild that the guy who won’t stop yelling about law and order is now personally stepping in to keep January 6 documents hidden from the police officers who were attacked that day. He knows exactly what’s in those files and he is terrified the country will see it.

Indiana Republicans are under significant pressure to do something they know is wrong: rig the maps and silence voters.

Washington Republicans are demanding a "9–0 map." That’s not democracy - that’s cheating. They know it, and they’re ashamed, which is why they’re hesitating.

Corporations and ultra-rich individuals with numerous business interests cannot be trusted to prioritize the public’s right to know over their own bottom lines.

When billionaire conglomerates take control of media, it’s not a win for free speech. It’s a win for oligarchy.
If Paramount is allowed to take over Warner Bros. Discovery, the conservative billionaire Ellison family will control:

Paramount Studios
CBS
CNN
MTV
HBO
Comedy Central
Nickelodeon
Cartoon Network
Warner Bros.
DC Studios
Fandango
New Line Cinema
TNT Sports
TBS
Oracle

And more.

POLITICO: You pardoned the former president of Honduras even though he was convicted in a massive intl drug trafficking scheme. How is that 0 tolerance on drug trafficking?

TRUMP: Well I don't know him and I know very little about him other than people said it was like an Obama-Biden type set up

With this action, the president is directly blocking a case alleging that he helped to fuel the deadly riot. trib.al/o6IVFjF

I can’t believe how much of the Trump era is about solving problems that *don’t* exist while making all the problems that *do* exist, worse.

There is no one who thinks the biggest problem with air travel right now is not having an area to do pull-ups.
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

Oh look, it’s Trump pretending to save the day, by fixing a problem that he created with a bailout.

But it doesn’t solve the real problem. Farmers wouldn’t have been in this position if it weren’t for Trump’s insane tariff policy.

Trump created the tariff crisis and now wants to swoop in as the “solution.” He’s rolling out a $12 billion bailout for farmers (many of whom are among his most loyal supporters) after his own trade war damaged their livelihoods and pushed them into financial hardship.
