Today I learned that when hummingbirds are fighting over a feeder, they can hit each other with their bodies so hard that you can hear it from several feet away. This was the most intense aerial dogfight I have ever seen.

A tortoiseshell cat is in the foreground sitting on a gold couch. Laying on his side along the gold couch is a gray and white cat. She is hunched over menacingly, he is laying on his side with his front claws out defensively. It's about to happen. In the foreground the tortoiseshell cat is reared up but her claw has been caught on a cream-colored blanket hanging on the side of the couch. The gray cat appears to be thrashing around but not really accomplishing anything. Really, that's pretty much how this always goes. But it looks good! The tortoiseshell cat is still in the foreground but now she is backed up against my leg with her tail actually coming over my thigh. She is no longer in the offensive position. The gray and white cat in the background, however is standing on all four legs and hunched over with his eyes intensely glaring right into the soul of the 40 who has been menacing him. He's going for it. For absolutely no reason, a blank Journal is open between them. The tables have now completely turned with the gray and white cat sharing the middle ground with the 40. He stands on the tiptoes of his front right leg while his front left leg dangles menacingly out for a swipe that will probably not even connect. The tortoise shell is hunched down and ready to take her licks.

The crust rose nicely but I should have left it in long enough to get some bits of burn. It didn't get the texture I was going for but it was cooked all the way through and held together and is better than 90% of my store-bought pizzas for a total cost of maybe $2? And I am FULL!
A small pizza fresh out of the oven. The shape shows that the dough was handmade and hand formed. It has pepperoni cheese and olives as toppings. It's sitting on a bamboo cutting board on a glass top oven with a metal Grill spatula off to the side. A view of the side of the pizza showing how the crust has risen. The edges are shiny from the cheese and pepperoni and an olive is precariously perched on the edge of The Cutting Board just barely hanging on to the pizza by a thread of cheese. The pizza on the cutting board has been cut in half and then one of the have has been cut in half and then a few more slices taken. I've already taken a bite out of it. It is baked all the way through. A round pizza cutter sits in the corner.
