Guess I just don't get fiber internet anymore? AT&T replaced my neighbor's line then seemed to have swapped his node with mine, so they just mark the line as green and close the ticket day after day.
When I cancel after they do this again, will they disconnect my neighbor's line? lol.

doing design work this last week and change while trying to keep off the computer a bit.
took some time before that reviewing/practicing some basics. feels like a good time to just implement random algo's for a while to re-skill... not feeling very creative lately.

Three ADHD levels down: is it time to fundamentally revisit the slab allocator?
We have at least three allocators, plus still system malloc/free usage (mostly in proxy). Primary slab allocator supports reorganizing live objects to rebalance memory, which is rare because it's super hard.

Spidey sense telling me my split LRU algo has a balancing glitch. It's ~ten years old now and my testing methods have improved a lot maybe? worth another look?
I don't advertise enough that the LRU updates are completely outside of the fetch path. It bogs writes slightly but reads scale perfectly!
