These deals are only good for bankers and executives, who make hundreds of millions.

Audiences, artists, and employees all get screwed.
Interesting tidbit is here is that if WB accepts the hostile bid, WB owes Netflix $2.8 billion for breaking the deal, so the realized cost of the Paramount bid would be about $111 billion

I can’t get over how Barbie succeeded because it offered tangible ways for women and girls to celebrate each other (and dress up and go to the movies together) but studios thought it worked because it’s about toys so now they’re making like Bananagrams the movie
