My family revitalizes abandoned homes, maintains them, and rents them fairly. I'm very proud of our work.

We also play games of all descriptions, especially on a table.

I like math and science most, but am interested in everything.

They say posting your art is the best thing to do here when you first start. My art is a card game called The House of Wisdom. It's about the amazing discoveries of the Islamic Golden Age; things that you know about, but maybe don't know where they came from.

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.
China’s CO2 emissions have been flat or falling for past 18 months, analysis finds
World’s biggest polluter on track to hit peak emissions target early but miss goal for cutting carbon intensity

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

Let's just have all three hundred thirty million of us negotiate as a group. I bet we could get some great costs. Heck, lets go direct to the providers, we'd basically be our own insurance company then! Has anyone thought of this before?
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

The annual premium alone is six times the per capital cost of the UK's National Health System. Before you even get any healthcare. But since it's tax funded poor people actually pay a lot less. It's time for change.

Even before this incoming pain, at least 57% of Americans support a universal or single payer healthcare system. A majority. At least. But we can't have nice things that we want and need and know we can afford because rich people need to be richer.

Not sure how Bernie calculated his 50,000 deaths a year from these insurance changes. I could believe even higher, but even that is a September 11th of deaths every three weeks. Imagine they did it again on October 2nd. And 23rd. November 13th. December 4th. Christmas Day. That's what's happening.

Every name on these pages should have already been in prison, especially the wire-in at the end.
Trump just celebrated Schumer's cave by pardoning 75+ co-conspirators including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Sidney Powell, for their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Schumer should demand that the multi-felon, money laundering, self enriching, document selling, pedophile protecting, record breaking shut down causing, government crippling, anti-constitutional maniac resign before any agreement because there's no reason to suspect he'd keep these promises.

I hope that going forward America finds "I'm rich!" to be a liability for politicians. Oh, you spent your life not caring about anyone else's needs, and now you want power over the one entity that regulate your greed? No thanks. No, I didn't believe you actually want to help me now.

Whichever consultant came up with the Republican plan of obviously and directly denying citizens from having representation in our government needs to also go on trial after all this. Delayed run-off elections. Refusal to swear in. Illegal redistricting. Disgusting.

The latest episode of "how dumb can the Supreme Court be?" is quite a nail biter. We should have John Roberts for Thanksgiving if things go badly.
#BREAKING: The Trump administration is asking #SCOTUS for an immediate “administrative” stay of a Rhode Island district judge’s order that is otherwise requiring it to resume the distribution of SNAP benefits from other funding sources no later than the end of today.

You can buy The House of Wisdom (2022) at @acadecon.bsky.social in Dayton Ohio all weekend long from my friend at location 102. We had a problem with our e-store so get it the only way you can: in person. And buy her dice and stuff too.
Fun fact my business partner @donsheldon.bsky.social made this awesome game.

I mean we're partners in a construction business but never mind that, he made a really cool game 😍

So it's now a fact of law that your desire to call someone what you want is more important than their desire to be called what they want. Interesting 🤔
BREAKING: The Sixth Circuit, in a 10-7 en banc decision, holds that an Ohio school district's anti-bullying policy that requires students to use children's preferred pronouns is likely unconstitutional on these facts.

Judge Murphy, a Trump appointee, writes the court's decision.

A person with personal wealth on the scale of the US annual budget is, in fact, a danger to freedom throughout the world. Change my mind.
