Also Barker writing Black characters did get better generally but in this one Iiiii feel like he already got some bingos on the trope card just between Joe and Norma.

I have only the vaguest memories of Last Illusion and should probably fix that.

I should also actually see Lord of Illusions some day just for the Scott Bakulaness of it all
