Low/minimal-risk research ethics applications should primarily consist of an in-person or teleconferenced 15 minute powerpoint presentation + 15-30 minute Q&A session.
This would reduce the ridiculous amount of paperwork & speed up the process by 10 x.
Change my mind.

The many (more than I knew!) changes in gastrointestinal function that GLP-1 agonists can cause are not uncommon side effects, & may require adaptions in management of certain poisoned patients given anticipated rise in the use of these agents & their potential to alter toxicokinetics of other drugs
GLP-1 drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro can cause dramatic changes in GI motility and function, as well as dehydration and malnutrition. Will this change the way we treat poisoned patients on these meds?

If ICE "staff" are wandering around acting in a way that both seems unconstitutional, and would normally also contravene criminal codes...
What happens if you call the local or state Police to attend / intercede? 🤔

As we adopt speech-to-text software for our Epic DHR, is it petty to take disproportionate joy in sitting there, ordering a scan, and dictating:
"Clinical exam demonstrates XYZ, this could represent ABC or DEF. Suggest radiological correlation." ??

The erosion of trust in science & scientists — sometimes due to complex social/historical factors but often deliberately perpetrated by charlatans — has tragic, deadly consequences, and, if unchecked, is an existential threat to society.
"The vaccination has stuff we don't trust," said the father of the 6-year-old girl who died from measles at the end of last month. Tom Bartlett visited with a family confronting an unthinkable tragedy:

Tell them it doesn’t matter if it’s comics, magazines or books as long as they’re engaged with the written word. #WorldBookDay

ANYWAY, did you know there's an extension you can put on Chrome that will connect with your local library system and when you go look at a book, say on AMZ, it will tell you if that book exists in the library system and if it's available?
It's literally called Library Extension.

Hey Epic users,
Do any of you have the functionality to easily compare 2 or more ECGs on-screen simultaneously?
If so, how...?
We have no solution to this, and no progress from local team to find/create one.
