Might not be the most important thing, but I can’t not observe that Lear is actually much less dangerous when he goes mad. Because having recklessly given away most of his power in Act I, by the time he ends up naked on a heath in a storm, he has lost what remained of it.
Full on delusional emperor mode. One can only imagine the work going on in DC probably among his own team to try to stop the now obvious Lear-style insanity causing too much damage
