I bounced off Dark Souls 1 twice (once on prepare to die, once on remastered) when I got to Sen's Fortress. After playing elden ring I'm back and finding it frankly easy. Game has such a good aesthetic/vibe/atmosphere.

Time keeping actually defines so much about culture it's entirely appropriate. Plus it's not like there's a universal calendar on earth! There's a Buddhist calendar, a Jewish calendar etc etc etc
Not sure how I feel when a book tells me that instead of "12 months" they have "10 arcs," which are each 40 days long, and they all have names like Blossomarc, Flamearc Snowarc,.... I appreciate the world building, but couldnt we have just kept the calendar the same?
