Robert Anton Wilson - The Lost Tapes. Features some quality Discordian and illuminati prankstery, as well as The Jumping Jesus Phenomenon. This describes Jesus as a unit of aggregate human knowledge. By the Middle ages we had 2J. from there it goes exponential www.youtube.com/watch?v=02GJ...

Like any other cool person, I spent my Saturday night hacking on an ncurses appview that uses oauth.

The longest and most challenging thing? Using oauth.

Currently fiddling with @zzstoatzz.io's fork because they have a PR queue'd for the python package github.com/zzstoatzz/at...

i wanna rock and roll until 7, and be in bed by 9
i used to think the lyric was ‘i wanna rock and roll all night / and part of every day’ and i remember thinking, honestly that sounds reasonable

The email & texting content is interesting, but it's metadata analysis like this that tells a whole story unto itself.

I'd be very curious about the call log metadata as well! Probably at least as useful as this.
Gosh, why and how could that be? Such an enigma!

As a society, we tilt as the tiniest windmills and lose sight of what are the large and gnarly problems where even incremental gains would save thousands if not millions of lives, gigawatthours of electricity, and millions of megaliters of water.

It would be an understatement to say I STRONGLY agree.

Text is the next adventure.

I certainly feel like product management is on the latter half of this curve.
Creative destruction is part of progress. We no longer have telephone operators, but calls are now cheaper and faster.

Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

I left Pixel home alone and watching the Dr. Who live channel on prime. She can howl the theme now and agrees that Tom Baker was the best Doctor.

Finally, we can move past the abomination of the asymmetrical controllers of the xbox era.
Today, Valve announced the second-generation Steam Controller. Imagine a Steam Deck with the screen lopped off, and you’re close.

There are a few different threads I'm in that discus AI and data center resource utilization.

I took the better part of a day to write this up with cited sources. Always happy for corrections or to have my opinion changed in light of new information!

Largest font possible co-signed - a person who is educated in tech and interaction design.

We should never conflate excellence in one arena (intellect, beauty, athleticism, etc) with general excellence.

Recognize the halo effect for what it is, break the genjutsu, then defer to the real experts.
the amount of people who will say something like "they went to tech so you know they're smart"

YALL

math science engineering is a certain kind of skill that some ppl study but lolll plz do not defer to stem folks on all the things, just on stem things

Since this lovely Chuck Schumer animation was made largely with AI & free credits, I am licensing it as CC0, do what though wilt (but attribution would be a kind gesture 🙏)
Amazing what free credits, imovie, and ffmpeg can get you...
