There’s one positive I can say about Republicans that I can’t for Democrats. When a Republican leader (in the House anyway) truly shits down his pants, they replace him. When a Democratic leader does it, we wait 20 year before they retire.
There are two other discharge petitions to extend the ACA subsidies and both have enough Republicans on them already to pass.
