Nobody is even pretending that Congress authorized a military operation to remove a foreign leader as a prelude to occupying his country and running it by (presumably) American military rule. The unitary executive theory now just makes Trump emperor of the world, I guess. Incredible stuff.
BREAKING

President Trump says the United States will run Venezuela until a “safe, proper, and judicious” transfer of power can take place.

Trump's family and buddies see BIG profits coming from pushing the current peace deal. Witkoff promising it will enrich Ukraine. The only one who will profit are close to Witkoff/Trump, the corrupt wealthy in the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine. theins.ru/en/politics/...
Made in Moscow: The “U.S. peace plan” for Ukraine was substantially formulated months ago by Kremlin operative Kirill Dmitriev
Since it was first published on Nov. 20, the much-discussed 28-point plan for ending the war in Ukraine has borne all the signs of a Kremlin information operation. In fact, many of its most controvers...

This is clear political prosecution and government overreach meant to scare protestors by going after resistance leaders and political candidates.

Kat Abughazaleh must not be imprisoned for fighting against the President’s fascism.
I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

No president has ever summoned active-duty troops in order to attack his political opponents with partisan political messages. It is gross and constant. Trump, Hegseth and Vance are politicizing the military and trying to turn troops against Democrats for a reason.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 85th day out of the last 97.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

When you see how excited Trump, Russ Vought, and Republicans are about the government shutdown, it becomes pretty obvious the reason why they refused to negotiate a compromise with Democrats is because they wanted this and they completely own this, regardless of their lies.

It is well-crafted in those respects, but not because counsel created the perfect plaintiff.

No one forced ICE to arrest & detain a US citizen with ID, let alone to do it twice to the same person (which is important for lawyer reasons having to do with mootness).
This is a VERY well crafted lawsuit.
1) Plaintiff is natural born.
2) He was detained 2X in a fast-growing part of Alabama, not in a city that Brett Kavanaugh could be easily duped into believing was all migrants.
3) Unwarranted detentions were on private property.
4) He showed Real ID both times.
JUST IN: A U.S. citizen from Alabama who has been detained twice by ICE while working at a construction site, has filed a class action suit claiming ICE's broad warrantless arrest powers violate the constitution. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
