Like stories about mass shootings in the U.S, weather articles go straight into the bin. In both instances, smart people gave us advice on how to avoid them happening too often, but the culture warriors got involved, and well… here we are

Ch7 focusing on the Brisbane Lions boys having a drink in the off-season can get fucked. Let’s get cameras in the 7 hospo suite at the Grand Final or the Spring Carnival and film their personalities doing rails and see how that flies

Happy Meredith weekend to all who celebrate.

I love it when the penny drops for the kool kids that’s it’s nothing more than sitting in your car for a day trying to get in, getting knocked back for roots with crusty backpackers and then spending day in your car trying to get out of the joint.

Is Australia so bereft of commentator options that Matthew Hayden gets to dribble on not just Ch7, but now Triple M as well?

If you run a business and get AI to design your logo, you are advertising to the World that you would prefer to have a shitty logo in order to save a few hundred quid and would be likely to cut corners elsewhere in your operation.

I’ve just seen my first Kia Tasman ute in the wild. Looks pretty poxy, just quietly.

To be fair, they’re just following the lead of every Pikey and British backpacker in St Kilda.
Look he just broke a local law about helmets, it's not like he beat a guy into a pulp outside a pub.

very sad about Bruce Lehrmann’s legal challenges. growing up in suburban Melbourne in the 80s, his music taught me that it was ok to be weird

Seeing a lot of posts about the AFLW GF being at Princes Park instead of Docklands. Genuine qn: after the Oasis and Metallica gigs, would the turf have been safe for footy?

(FWIW, if it could have been, I reckon it should have been played at Docklands)

As always, conservatives proving they know the cost of everything, but the value of nothing
Total failure to meet the moment I'm afraid.

Libs could just take on labor's infrastructure agenda - which is already contracted - and neutralise the issue but instead we get this slop.

Redd Kross & Hard-Ons Add Extra Show To 2026 Australian Tour
Two beloved rock bands, Los Angeles outfit Redd Kross and Australia’s the Hard-Ons, are touring together in early 2026. With performances along the East Coast booked for next March, demand for the tour, announced this week, has been massive. The demand for tickets has been so extraordinary that a Melbourne show has already sold out, with another gig announced today. Tickets to all shows, aside from the sold-out gig at The Tote, are on sale now via the Hard-Ons website. Both bands have new music on the way and a shared history of brilliance, loved by punters across the country. Redd Kross have been touring Australia since 1992, and last visited in 2017 for a double bill with The Melvins. Last year, Redd Kross celebrated their 45th anniversary by releasing their most acclaimed album to date – a self-titled effort – as well as a feature-length documentary, Born Innocent: The Redd Kross Story, and a memoir, Now You’re One Of Us: The Incredible Story Of Redd Kross. The Hard-Ons also celebrated a milestone anniversary recently – their 40th – with a film and last year’s I Like You A Lot Getting Older, which followed their run of Top 40 records. The band hit #4 on the ARIA chart with I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken in 2021, their first record with singer Tim Rogers. A new documentary about the Hard-Ons, Harder & Harder, is currently in cinemas. It’s a sequel to the recently released The Most Australian Band Ever!, which will soon arrive on Blu-Ray.
