#A2O Bought the t-shirt finally. Thank you to Cycle Journeys who gave me a lift in Kurow last week when I had a puncture.
Karma is real. Sun shining so back out there. 700k in 3 weeks do double the actual trail length. Not all of that on A2O but most.

They see everything & know instantly if it means walk time. In fact every time i sit down or close the laptop lid it is cause for excitement.

Alps2Ocean is still a bit quiet but to be fair there was a big snowfall last week & 2 sections at Mt Cook end are closed.

Testing video length here. My clip was 3m and 2 seconds long. Apparently 3 min is ok now. Acid jazz from the 90’s. The first part sounds like a cover to me but it also seems like a medley or improvisation based on that after first minute. Bluetrain live in 1993 in Mt Eden.

Had some quality time with a nail gun. Back on the community building project. So many micro tasks that need to be done 50 or hundreds of times. The biggest problem is getting measurements precise. Pro tip: cut the longer bits first so if it is wrong you can still use that for a shorter gap

Finished my forest ride. Lucky I can carry my analog bike over logs.
About a 1k section of pine trees across the forest road 10.23 k into my ride. Thought i might have to turn around.
That big one was the hardest to get over.

Back home again but I managed an extra short ride in Duntroon that i missed earlier in the week. Was a bit windy though so glad it was only a very short ride. #Alos2Ocean

Question for off road #cyclists
I have been riding a trail with a huge amount of rock falls. They bounce up and hit the frame at this point.
Does a light but strong bash plate exist for such a purpose?
There is a screw hole there for a stand but I’d prefer a protective plate…

The North going Zak and the south going Zak now have bikes. They would definitely be riding on Alps2Ocean.

Looking back towards Benmore from the picnic table is also good. I like that the people who made the table have a sakes card on it with a phone number.
