I am PCUSA & this is just a personal reflection, so it might not pertain to the broader generation (or mainliners as a whole), but one thing that always threw me is the drumbeat of calling them "young people." We are more complex than that and it's so often accompanied with a patronizing tone.

It already is opt-in from the beginning. This version hasn't shipped yet.

But also I've kind of always seen it as a pretty Boomer-driven event, especially because so many of the important NOLA acts have been older figures for a long, long time.

I mean, Tyler Childers is at the top of his game. Otherwise, this lineup actually screams "millennials are finally driving Jazz Fest." So many of these folks were hot in '2013 (Lorde, Black Keys, Alabama Shakes) and Stevie Nicks is basically an honorary member at this point.

…I’m preaching it this weekend in the PC(USA), so I understand this. It’s the fact that it’s specifically in the BCP that makes this relevant to TEC. Sorry if that wasn’t obvious.

No better week to discuss this than this Sunday’s advent theme: Joy

Are you sure this was Fox News? That doesn't really sound like them.

That’s my birthday and wedding anniversary so you’ve got my vote, even if I am a Helvetica man.

The guy thought his departure was going to be obvious when they didn't make the playoffs.

Also, thank BlueSky for not having to see all of my Kiffin takes for the last two months.
