Just an fyi, you don’t casually toss a $10k camera rig. This image is stunning (and heartbreaking as a former photoj).
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

So grateful for the art these brilliant musicians brought into the world. And beyond grateful I got to see Garcia, Lesh, Weir, Hart and Krutzmen play live. Their music shaped my entire adult journey.
