if by "AI is replacing jobs" you mean "this is the current excuse that companies are making to do layoffs they wanted to do anyway" then sure. if you think that means that AI is actually replacing jobs then I'm gonna need you to stop commenting on current events.

This is a media story mostly. No one left in the desicated corporate media wants to write about some new code that helped some nerds be more efficient at science. So they enthusiastically let themselves be conned by the hucksters so they can feel like they're writing a more important story.
