If you're among the dwindling demographic who get the print edition of the Washington Post, you may have seen one death notice in what's left of the Metro section that ran longer than usual. (I didn't, but my wife did.) It is some remarkable testimony about mental illness and well worth reading.

Republicans rushed tax cuts for the wealthy but delayed their cuts to Medicaid and food assistance. Why?

So they don't kick in until after the midterms.

Help spread the word.

What a photograph.

Arrested large amounts of peaceful clergy face first on pavement is a pretty good sign you’re not the good guys in the story. www.reuters.com/legal/govern...

53% of Americans believe billionaires are a threat to American democracy.

Meanwhile, just 100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion on federal elections last year — a 160-fold increase since Citizens United.

The people know: billionaires should not be able to buy our elections.

Excessive force. PERIOD!

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.

The system is broken.

It's Villains All the Time
We were warned by Washington, Lincoln and others. Now we must oppose this authoritarian regime, firmly voice our commitment to the Constitution and rule of law—and assert what it means to be American.

Agreed. We can't let them scare us into inaction. If we do, it's over. We may reside in the US but it won't be America anymore.
This is the reality of living life in a country without due process.

I’m stunned by the pedestrians casually walking by and trying to ignore the horror happening in front of them.

Listen to this man, a human, crying out, he’s innocent and wants his family.

I do not recognize our country anymore.

What we see happening in real time is actually part of Martial Law. Oh, it hasn’t been officially declared, but his federal takeover plans for cities across the nation…under the cloak of “attacking crime,” is pre-positioning for when he does. It will happen prior to the November elections. Watch.

Although she had no idea what I was talking about, I appreciate AG Bondi's offer to discuss the grants she's illegally terminating.

However, our communities shouldn't have to rely on Senators playing whack-a-mole with this administration to restore public safety grants.
Sen. Murray: "When you cut off the Expanding Access to Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations grant, were you aware that that grant helps our authorities prosecute rape and sexual assault?"

AG Bondi: "I have no idea about that specific grant you're talking about."

Why attack healthcare, public aid, and immigrant labor in a country that needs all three? Because the goal isn’t policy—it’s punishment. MAGA’s logic is not economic, but sacrificial. Entire populations are being marked for exclusion.
