More from the 1920 book on Halloween costumes. If I was going to include this type of party in a his fiction story, I'd go down a rabbit hole of research to find out if people then wore black and orange as costumes or they wore costumes of characters, historical figures, etc like today #amwriting

Someone posted asking how you would describe a wealthy person without saying they were wealthy. I would say having an assortment of winter coats in impractical colors would be one way. Plaid, white, light blue, etc. #amwriting
