I think most game discussions online would be better if people stopped trying to be authoritative and started just being honest with themselves and others
I will say again, Nostalgia is the Devil's Word when it comes to media, especially games. Like that word barely means what it's supposed to mean at this point and it's damaging our ability to communicate about the history of games.

Watching Vanquish speedruns and learning that if you throw a grenade, dodge to slow down time, and shoot the grenade, it increases the AoE of the blast.
