alright let’s get something more pleasant going. what two books would you leave out on your coffee table so a reporter can mention you have them. doesn’t matter if you’ve read them. for me it’s Pale Fire (which I did read) and Ulysses (got like 15% of the way in)

I went back to sports, but based on the first 20 minutes I would absolutely watch a Chester A. Arthur biopic where he's played by Nick Offerman (I only saw Offerman once in those first 20 or so minutes).

Political Science hive mind: any recent-ish studies on how elected officials (and/or unelected officials) determine what they think public opinion looks like?
In particular, I'd be interested in reconciling that older literature with the recent findings showing pervasive bias in how electeds and their staffs perceive constituent opinion as more conservative than it is
