I have joined nearly 100 parliamentarians to call on the Government to reconsider its rejection of compensation for 1950s women for maladministered state pension age changes. The Ombudsman was clear: injustice occurred, compensation should follow.

Our @libdems.org.uk MPs will continue to support their claim for compensation.

The statement by @patmcfaddenmp.bsky.social shocked & insulted #WASPI ladies in its tone and content. Our MPs need to have their say.
Please email your MP asking them to call for a binding vote on compensating #WASPI women in Government time. 👇

“This is the second time in less than two years that this government has denied 50s-born women the pension justice they are rightfully owed.
It is a disgraceful decision. This government needs to reflect on its treatment of #WASPI women. and change course.”

Last week, I co-signed a letter to the Secretary of State, calling for fair compensation for all the women who were impacted by the increase in the State Pension age without sufficient notice.

I won't stop fighting for the 7,060 WASPI women in Tiverton and Minehead.

I am appalled that the Government has once again chosen to ignore the WASPI women’s demand for fair compensation. These women were failed by poor communication and shifting goal posts.

They deserve justice, not delay or dismissal.
