I'm a programmer, a Kentuckian, a veteran, and a progressive. I helped send a spaceship to the moon.
I was, basically, The Psychiatrist From Armageddon for Halloween, primarily because I already owned a lab coat and had access to an anechoic chamber.

RIP.

Jesus. It looks like it's launching an air-to-air missile.

@crmarsh.com I'm out here spreading the word.

Installing Docker on Windows makes it look like you're about to hit a paywall.

You just carry a pack, Jack
Make battle plans, Stan
You can seek and destroy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Learn how to cuss, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Study artillery, Lee
And get yourself free

There is no better feeling than when you have a losing position in a chess game, your opponent gets mad at you for not resigning, and they attempt to showboat instead of just checkmating you, and then they screw up the win.

Pretty sure this was a new endgame for me: R+8 v. R+8.

And who could forget this banger.

I have fewer than ten total photos of myself in uniform, despite serving for four full years. Here are two of them.

Happy Veterans Day!

Game seven, bottom of the ninth, tie game, bases loaded, two dudes crashing into each other, and it somehow works.

Nobody does it like Baseball.

Only just now noticed that GitHub has a Halloween color theme on the graph thing. Neat!

ABC News has apparently been bullied by Vladimir Kramnik into deleting an unspecified video.

Kramnik is an incompetent buffoon whose bluster and legal claims are always absolutely insane, which leads me to believe that ABC News' policy is just to retract any video that anyone makes a claim against.

The classics never go out of style.

Yesh. I think about that a lot. Also, we were 83 votes away from him never being governor in the first place!

(This was back before Comer became who he has become.)

I won very quickly. I played pretty well, too, for my level. I think Danya would be proud of me for this one.

I always play this opening with white. The highlighted move is uncommon, but it's what Danya recommends, so I call it "The Naroditsky Variation." And every time someone plays this against me, I know that they learned it from him, and thus they are going to be a good player.

OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING

Fun checkmate in this one.

Won a bullet game against a higher rated opponent while playing with a 600ms ping. 👍

I think it's super cool that my niece's public elementary school is using fundraising tactics that are indistinguishable from ActBlue, which are in turn indistinguishable from a scammer trying to steal my credit card.

Today I learned that Python does not support doing bitwise operators on bytes objects. Kinda annoying imo.

University just released a great pic of our pride and joy, our 21-meter antenna. The access road is so hidden by trees that the whole thing looks like an AI hallucination.

Perhaps the least true statistic in recorded history.
