Then why buy into this new neoconservativism sloganeering?

There’s plenty of foundations for the view that right wing authoritarians are good not tied to this kind of argument - and much of it comes from longstanding conservative traditions that are not neoconservative. So why not spotlight those?

In doing so even as critique it actually supports a core frame of argument for the Trump coalition and obscures specific responsibilities and causes.

A relevant origin point for this significant misfire is not taking seriously non-neocon aspects/parts of the Bush administration.
