The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

I've noticed that ICE agents keep yelling "18 USC § 111" at people filming them. I'd like to see the memo they all got on that talking point, and I'd like to know who sent it. Filming ICE or alerting your neighbors to their presence doesn't violate § 111.

SCOTUS is essentially deciding to look the other way as Trump infringes on our rights and breaks our laws.

Two phrases that need to be retired:
“We are better than this.” (We’re not.)
The U.S. president is “the leader of the free world.” (He’s not.)

How Hitler seized power:

2. Demonize opponents.
3. Declare a state of emergency.
4. Undermine elections.
5. Make the rule of law irrelevant.
6. Rule by decree.
