Oregon, known for its trees, has quite a few spectacular organisms and species making a living in, under, on and alongside the trees. Drumpster wants to cut down more forests, leaving alot more detritus on the forest floor, but “more fungi” doesn’t quite have the same ring as “more cowbell” does it?

These hydrangea leaves were under snow on our deck for a week and dried by winter sun. The leaf’s veins and connectedness of each leaf to the other stunned me.
