Flowers can thrive in the high desert with little water or shade, while human desert ventures pretty much need to prioritize finding both.

Power derives from the people. Courts will cast lines constraining the wretched royal reign, setting the moral & civil anchor of a country adrift in storms of fear and greed. We have the power - in our hometown, on our public land, in our network. Bring the power - use your voice, wallet and action.

Oregon, known for its trees, has quite a few spectacular organisms and species making a living in, under, on and alongside the trees. Drumpster wants to cut down more forests, leaving alot more detritus on the forest floor, but “more fungi” doesn’t quite have the same ring as “more cowbell” does it?

Seems likely there is more to write about and lampoon on a daily basis than when these two took on former President Richard “I am not a crook” Nixon - so let’s start sharing it!

Nature has so many lessons for us. These grew from the stump of trees cut on public lands.

These hydrangea leaves were under snow on our deck for a week and dried by winter sun. The leaf’s veins and connectedness of each leaf to the other stunned me.

Keep your ears and eyes open for even the smallest inspiration, stand with those that need help, and together let’s kick some arse.
