I can bet that if you focused your BlueSky like you do your X, you'd have a significant bump in overall community engagement that you'd never get on X.

X is good for high numbers/impressions, sometimes. BlueSky is good for engagement and conversion rates.

For example, this post resonated with a lot of people. You managed to get over 100 likes with only 5 reposts. That means that your own following managed to see your post in a more natural way, rather than the algorithmic slop machine of X.

Not to mention link suppression, reply suppression, and overall engagement suppression.

X is not a healthy place to be unless you're basically a celebrity and use it to push traffic to other things.

X is a rage machine designed to maximize user retention, but not community connection.

I believe the math I worked out is that 1 BlueSky like is equivalent to 100 X likes.

So by this metric, if you get 100 likes on BlueSky, it has the same impact as those 10K on X.

Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

All anisota users use it while on the toilet, confirmed.

Of course, cancel culture is real. It's a disease. People latch onto things and ride the bandwagon too hard sometimes.

But you can't pin this one on that. You know what you signed up for Zen, you even admitted you knew it could be an issue.

I would know, because I used to hangout in those circles. I was part of those spaces.

Joking about Nazi-type shit was/is normal there, usually out of irony, but sometimes not.

At this point, I've accepted that anyone complaining about "woke" is not to be trusted.

You don't really see this type of uniform, especially hyper-accentuated, outside of influence from Nazi Germany or other authoritarian culture.

VTuber culture, fundamentally, includes a lot of incels and alt-right thinkers. It's the same as the anime community, especially anime piracy.
