When the company at the heart of the AI Boom/Bubble has to issue a memo assuring investors that it's not Enron it doesn't leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling about our economy
Been wondering about this exact thing for months, and not just with Nvidia. None of the numbers work; the revenues don't come close to the wild-ass valuations anyway, and the whole thing is a self-dealing ouroboros of like a half-dozen companies buying and selling to each other.

The revival and reprioritization of the current policies scenario is the plainest Trumpian strong-arming of the IEA with ‘alternative facts’.
Some of the assumptions are quite surprising.

CPS assumes stagnant solar deployment despite falling costs, and no more improvement in vehicle efficiency.

Looking forward to digging into the full range of assumptions.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Science says: global CO2 must fall ~45% by 2030 and reach net-zero 2050.

The IEA says oil and gas demand may rise until 2050.

Those two facts can’t coexist. The planet can’t afford it.
