Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract.

Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

CBC once again called the Ksi Lisims LNG project “Indigenous-led” on the National last night, despite the fact that it’s 100% American-owned by a Texas shell company, Western LNG.

Yikes!!!!!

Anyway, here’s a very funny video that breaks this down: youtu.be/Lt6Hmp9ndkI?...

Edmonton Public Schools has decided that Margaret Atwood is too dangerous for youth to read.
As is Brave New World.
1984 is banned by Grade 9s and younger.
This is the MAGA machine of Danielle Smith in action.
Perhaps a public book burning will reassure the base.

This is excellent. In three minutes she explains how democracies become dictatorships. It's happened so many times, yet in each country, most people said, 'it can't happen here'

Yet another whistleblower, this time from the Toronto Star, is speaking out about their newsroom’s censorship of stories about Palestine.

What they said rings true. Because part of what they described also happened to me.

It's a story I haven't shared publicly until now:

The IDF terror bombed a cafe in Gaza. Their war crimes pile up as western media howl in faux outrage at singers who speak up against the crimes.
The perpetrators may think they are on top of the world but their crimes are being documented.
The world sees the war criminals.
We name them.

Yesterday, we heard from healthcare workers who have been in Gaza — people who can go where Canadian journalists aren’t able to access.

Today, humanitarian aid workers took their turn.

They warned that Israel is using aid as a military and political tool.

Here's what else they told us:

Thank you, Canada.
For being yourselves when so many others are trying to be worse.
You reminded us that we are not alone.

And more like something worth staying alive for.

I'm pleased/impressed to find that this quote attributed to the late Pope Francis (and dated just a few days ago) is authentic:

There have been remains found.

A fragment of a child’s jawbonewas found at a site in Saskatchewan. The remains of a child under five were found at a former school near Edmonton.

What Rosie Barton said was correct.

"On March 23, 15 bodies were found in a mass grave, their hands and feet tied. They had been killed execution style. Their vehicles were crushed by bulldozers and buried to hide the evidence. They were paramedics responding to a call to help the wounded."

Keep kicking, Charlie. And Ted.
The mass execution of paramedics by the Israeli army has been barely mentioned in the media.
Students who speak up against the genocide have been targeted.
But there are those who shine a light.
