In Monster Hunter Generations, the default message sent to the chat when planting a bomb is "I set up us a bomb!"
The guts on that localization decision. Most players likely took it as an unintended grammatical error, not knowing the original meme, which was like 20 years old at this point.

I realized after playing enough Donkey Kong Bananza just how much exceptional talent was required to have made the game as good as it is. The meticulously-crafted platforming is completely at odds with the player's ability to recklessly smash everything to pieces, but every approach is equally fun

Recently, a new Serenity Forge game was announced with the tagline "DDLC meets Silent Hill". This caused a lot of confusion because I'm not involved in the project, and it also has nothing to do with DDLC. So I'm listing some clarifications below to help clear things up.

Blu-Ray movie releases are just a mess, aren't they? This one's 1080p, this one's 4K but has weird color grading and de-noising, this one's scanned from a lower-quality source, this one has bad audio mixing, this one was only released in one country and costs $150. And the DVD has 2 hours of extras

Interesting how "teardown" and "disassembly" functionally refer to the same thing in tech videos (taking something apart), but usually, the former is a review of the internals and the latter is a step-by-step tutorial. The evolution of language is subtle and cool

It's funny how I have to keep my Switch 1 around, because I use homebrew mods to play Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate at 60fps. So now I have a Switch 2 and next to it a Monster Hunter machine screaming at the limits of its overclock to run a 3DS port at a good frame rate

In early high school we came up with a simple but effective prank in computer class. At a friend's PC we'd quickly press Win+D, Ctrl+A, Enter, Enter to select all desktop icons and open them simultaneously. Enjoy waiting 10 minutes for your single-core CPU to open every single Office and Adobe app
