I think this might also be because in America hospital refers to a specific location whereas prison refers to incarceration.

Also Trump’s a lame duck. He’s probably also has a massive incentive to be nice to the people who will be running things when he’s no longer in office - ya know the whole stay out of jail thing.

Trump has no beliefs other than a desire to be rich and powerful. He will be close to whoever can ensure his status remains in tact.

This is why there’s no reflection in the caucus about needing change. They don’t see what just happened as a failure, and they’re counting on the thermostatic backlash of midterm elections to provide post hoc support for their decision.

That, at least, is cynically rational. I kid you not Zoe, their political thinking does not extend beyond republicans are setting fire to everything so we must be the fire brigade. There’s no acting to prevent arson in the long term.
