The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

I just witnessed a man dragged onto this bus after a judge did not let him explain how deportation could be a death sentence for him.
And it's happening here.

What I saw today in San Antonio immigration courts was horrifying. Everyone's right to due process is under attack.

Not funny, but true: All tyrants eventually fall. But after that happens, the people and institutions that bowed down to them will never regain their reputations.

This is well stated. Mike Lee will forever be associated in my mind with his unbelievably cruel and stupid tweets about the Hortman assassination. He is a disgrace to the Senate and Utah.
A top staffer to Sen. Tina Smith emailed Sen. Mike Lee’s top staffers on Monday about “how much additional pain you’ve caused on an unspeakably horrific weekend”

The Attorney General is so unserious.

If you’re a prosecutor who is serious about obtaining a conviction, you don’t go on Fox and talk about the (alleged) facts of the case like this.

Has Bondi read the Justice Manual? Has Bondi heard of pretrial publicity motions? How about bar ethics rules?

Why Cory Booker’s Speech Matters
Booker didn’t “accomplish” anything. He was a voice of one crying in the wilderness. And that’s how you build a dissident movement: with simple acts of witness.

I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:
