Went to see Nobody (2025) last night & it was delightful. A Chinese animated fantasy comedy film about 4 low-level, no name monsters faking it till they make it by posing as the heroes of Journey to The West. A lot of heart & 1 or 2 of standout action sequences here as expected of donghua nowadays.

This is the film 'Nobody' I've been talking about. Honestly there is nothing special in the animation techniques used in this film. But the way they combine them with interesting visual storytelling and fun characters elevates the entire film!
2D animation is booming in theaters. In China, the film Nobody is outgrossing many of Hollywood's recent CG films—on a $10< million budget.

Charming, fun, and full of heart. It was also lovely to see a wonderfully Chinese tale in the big screen.
Highly recommend.
