Internal White House meetings going on, like, "Hopefully the racism will distract from the pedophilia which will distract from the killings which will distract from the pedophilia again which will distract from the economy which will distract from the pedophilia a third time"

Salisbury steak or onion soup. I shaved onions really thin (carefully with the guard & a safety glove). Halved mushrooms so the one kid can pick them out. Doused it with beef broth & onion soup mix. Topped it all with thin, frozen burger patties & baked it. Cheese at the end, and ate it all as soup.

What do they call it when companies are using both inflation & shrinkflation? Had an errand before school, swung into McDonald’s for breakfast. The kids noticed right away certain components were smaller than they used to be. Anyone wanna tell the Day One Dictator how much he sucks at his job?

It’s such a good feeling to know you're alive
It's such a happy feeling you're growing inside
And when you wake up ready to say
I think I'll make a snappy new day
It's such a good feeling, a very good feeling
The feeling you know that we're friends

My top six horror movies/shows 2025

I’ve always loved horror. It’s absolute escapism, specifically from real life horrors. It puts our lives into perspective, and the underlying themes are often way bigger than most people realize.

2025 hasn’t been my favorite year. But…

Working close to home has given me time. I’ve had more time with family, it’s been easier to plan time with friends, and it’s given me more opportunities to be healthy.

For weeks on end, I have to smell them baking all the cinnamon things at Costco. I don’t indulge often, so I’m enjoying the “BUTTER CINNAMON SUGAR LOAF” this morning with my avocado toast.

A really great mulled wine is just as great cold or hot. It’s also not a bad chaser to a Christmas morning breakfast!

I love that auto correct assumes I’m stupid.

Actual example:
Oh, you actually were trying to type “Near or far?” instead of “Bear or fat?”

It’s easy to forget how warm, cozy and comfortable your body is until you drastically lack sleep two nights in a row. Having finally caught up, I feel phenomenal this morning.

The roads between Schafer Drive and LaFontaine Way are not great. Another great day for at home coziness. Another day that I’m up at the Costco making sure the reckless can purchase socks and Skinny Pop.

My favorite style of beer is a stout. This one hits all the right notes. $7.99 at Costco is you get a chance. #beer #stout #Costco

It's not a foolproof plan but every political debate from now on should be a Normal Guy competition. Ask them to describe grocery shopping in detail. Talk about what it's like to have a friend

Yesterday’s out of town exploration:
I drove 15 minutes on back roads to eat breakfast at a park, and when I arrived it was a baseball field.

One of the most beautiful, rewarding, soul affirming aspects of life is the ability to continually discover new (to me) music. There have been a few dry spells over the years, but it’s always so fun to get into a new band or album.

A convicted felon who had also been found liable for sexual assault and committed additional crimes in plain sight was close with a notorious child sex trafficker and likely participated in some of those crimes too got elected with much of that known and spent his presidency railing against “crime.”

Working in Fruitport has made something apparent, I am infamous in Costco circles. Random employees that I have never met from stores I am no longer working in know stories about me. “Oh you’re Brian. I heard working with you is fun!” “Someone told me you’re one of the Buckley boys.” WTF is going on

My work week is going to be a little different this week. I’ll be traveling to Fruit Port midway to assist with the onslaught of new sign ups. My pertinent expenses will be covered. Costco work trip.

November is often a month that I turn to poetry. I don’t write poetry, but I’ve always enjoyed it, especially (as this poem states) when home or love sick.
