The new face of CDC's public health emergency response is someone who:

-- Promoted hydroxychloroquine & ivermectin as COVID-19 remedies
-- Eliminated vaccine promotion campaigns in Louisiana
-- Believes COVID-19 vaccines cause significant bodily injury

Changing the basic scientific functioning of the CDC undermines the safety of our children. The post on the CDC website is a dangerous and unprecedented departure from the CDC’s longstanding commitment to communicating evidence-based public health information.

Weaponization of the premier public health agency in the country for personal clout and gain. The CDC website should not be trusted given the fact that it is controlled by people who will profit from spurious and false attempts to link vaccines to autism.

i must admit, watching RFK Jr. burn down all those years of hard work on CDC's website for nothing has not been great for my mental health
For the first time in my career, I can’t tell people to trust what the CDC website says. And that is an incredibly sad and devastating place for this country to be.
CDC has overhauled its website to assert that “the claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim”

RFK Jr had committed to Bill Cassidy, as a condition to win his vote, that he would keep website language.

Cassidy in February: “If confirmed… CDC will not remove statements on their website pointing out that vaccines do not cause autism.”

Note the language in second photo.

Update on a significant development NIH grant terms.

On 10/1, a change to grant making regs went into effect that gives NIH more power to terminate grants for policy reasons.

But to use this power, new grant terms must include specific language. See @aniloza.bsky.social w/ the story from July.
