Reintroducing myself to Bluesky. Last time, there were just a few of us here. This is what I’m up to:

- Growing law firm with my excellent friends/partners.
- Storytelling. Making short films, writing quirky fiction, and making music.
- Curious about the world.

Glad to see you here. 💖💕
I admit that I am excited for this one. #moon
Launch delayed 'til March due to hydrogen leaks, a balky hatch, need to launch a crew to Space Station, & geometry with the Moon.
Next opportunities: March 6, 7, 8, 9, 11.
Sorry, families. Another month of training & preparation to get it all right.
The Moon will patiently wait.

I’m appalled at the casting of Lupita N’yongo as Helen of Troy. Helen was born of a swan and Zeus and Lupita is entirely featherless.

As a child, I was always so excited when a Marx Brothers film came on tv. Even into my 30s, I considered them the best. Then one day I woke up and they felt dated, out of touch with current concerns. I still love what they were but I don’t scramble to see them anymore. Time is a bitch.

My father was an air traffic controller in WWII at Bovington UK. He was proud to risk his life fighting Nazi fascism. I imagine him visiting an RAF pub something like the Eagle in Cambridge, pictured here from a trip I took a few years ago. It is a real piece of history (and still a fine pub).

I took this picture of my son 12 years ago. He is 21 now. Time flies.

A fleeting memory of waking up at two A.M. many decades ago and wandering to the nearby estuary. I stared across the water at sparks flying from welders in the shipyard repairing cargo vessels. It was quiet and serene.

This is a lovely little film. Really made an impression on me at the time.
Roger Ebert Was A Huge Fan Of Martin Scorsese's Little-Discussed '80s Comedy - SlashFilm
The late film critic Roger Ebert once called Martin Scorsese's 1985 manic comedy After Hours an example of "pure filmmaking."

The moon is so bright tonight, the trees and street signs cast shadows. Jupiter sparkles brightly nearby. Very clear sky. Really stunning walk this evening. 🌖✨

Sorry to get political for a moment but I cannot stay silent. As a nearly 40 year trial attorney I can say that based on the video I have seen so far of the shooting in Minneapolis, it is straight up cold blooded murder. Other video might show something different but I have yet to see it.

My writing has suffered because I’ve been struggling with a novel interminably. I have decided to take a break and knock out some short stories. It will be good for my soul.
