I'm too old and too tired to keep up a character specific profile anymore

That said, I remember why I like Superman so much

Be nice to each other

Tonight's Dumpster Raccoon screening of the Director's Cut of CAPTAIN AMERICA (1990) was supposed to be hosted by Cap comic writer Chip Zdarsky here in Toronto, but he was incredibly sick so I stepped in as his *ahem* Zubstitute.

Wow. The DC app STILL doesn't have a way to do a chronological search by issue huh? That's disappointing

I've always liked the Post-Crisis idea that Superman wasn't aware of any other surviving Kryptonians, and the Matrix Supergirl was a fun way to make that work. I think it would be interesting now if there was a retcon that explained why Matrix looked so much like the Kryptonian Supergirl

#FourComics that made me fall in love with comics

Three of these were from 1983, a big year for comics for me (X-Men was from 1981 I think). These may not be the most groundbreaking issues ever but I loved them as a kid

Some would rather be foolish than sound foolish. When learning, a true warrior knows that asking a seemingly dumb question is better than facing the consequences of never having asked. In the end, those foolish questions may just be the wisest of all.

I just found out that one of my favorite actors, Holly Hunter, went to the same high school I graduated from. Like, 20 years earlier than me, but still. Very cool

IRONMAN

Every time I've illustrated this character before (and there haven't been many times), I've never been happy with the result. Despite using vibrant colors, it always ended up being a rather flat and bland illustration. But this time, I'm quite pleased.

Enjoy!

To the list of the many things Scott Lobdell should not do, I would like to add "Don't use 'y'all' to address a single person"

I'm very pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying 90s X-Men this time around. I'm starting to realize that my distaste for it actually in the 90s was more about associating it with unpleasant aspects of my life at the time than the actual comics themselves

In Episode 124, Connor and returning guest Patrick Sullivan swirl into space with the variable Amelia Voght! Created by Scott Lobdell and John Romita, Jr., Voght is one of the more memorable characters introduced to the X-Men franchise in the years immediately following Chris Claremont's departure.
