My opinion of Ulysses S. Grant has gone up over the years, especially as how there was no way to save Reconstruction but he gave it the college try and hung as many KKK members as possible while trying to guarantee blacks the rights they'd been promised. A clean-up President seems relevant now.

I've been saying this about my novels for years now. While I originally create a character sheet like in D&D, they develop over time. I simply write the story the tell me. While I have goals in mind, more timelines to reach, my characters very much lead where the book goes.

I actually liked the video game HOMEFRONT. The ridiculousness of its premise (North Korea conquers US) worked because they treated the absolute stupid premise...dead serious. The sequel sadly ruined it by trying to make it make sense. Then #RedDawn copied it. #homefront #videogame
