They were! I thought Nightwing/Wolverine was very well written and I enjoyed Doctor Strange/Constantine

Just finished the first one and glad I picked up the second. Love the art. Often elegant in its simplicity like Kubert or Toth.

I was the exact opposite. I started reading comics in 1971 or so and only read DC (with some Gold Key). In 1973 a favorite aunt gave me 10 comics for Christmas, 7 of which were Marvels. I was disappointed until I read them. Then it was like a revelation. First look at Kirby FF. First Conan. Wow.
