Do you honestly think bsky would keep anything private or help anybody? Doxxing is already illegal in many countries and unfortunately most folks don’t understand basic opsec.
It also means @safety.bsky.app needs a way for people to temporarily take their accounts private. If the Right is scouring people's posts and threatening them with unemployment — or worse! — for basic speech, there are real risks to not having this simple protocol in place.
If people are getting fired for what they post on Bluesky, that kinda means Bluesky is definitely not dying, no?
